Blue Mountain Tour Guide
Tucked neatly in between the Niagara Escarpment and Southern Georgian Bay, there is no better place to be than in Ontario’s recreational capital. To start with, there are numerous golf courses to choose from for both the expert and amateur player. A few minutes down the road are the 14km white sandy beaches of Wasaga Beach. The Village at Blue and Blue Mountain is right around the corner, hosting a wealth of year round activities, shopping, and eateries. You can kick back and relax in the Norwegian Steam Room, Finnish Sauna, Nordic and Thermal Waterfalls, hot and cold baths, and more at Le Scandinave Spa, situated just minutes from the Village at Blue and Collingwood. A wondrous network of hiking trails meander throughout the area, including the infamous Bruce Trail. If you are geared more toward the extreme, then we have a variety of destinations in the area for zip lines, suspension bridge, and extreme Hummer tours. Plus, there are a wide array of Ontario’s best rock climbing sites, mountain biking trails, and some amazing caves to spelunk into. You will be able to see snow year round!
There is always something happening in the area, whether it be the buzz of local artists displaying truly amazing works of art in many eclectic mediums, local musicians feeding the nightlife soundwaves in the local pubs and/or music festivals, and Jazz in the Park. The local theatres provide cultural flare with suspense thrillers, comedies, and dramas, as well as musical performances. In the summer, there are also a plentitude of garden markets and farmers’ markets. Collingwood is also home to the world famous Elvis Festival.
